The New City Catechism

Question #18 // Will God allow our disobedience and idolatry to go unpunished?

No, every sin is against the sovereignty, holiness, and goodness of God, and against his righteous law, and God is righteously angry with our sins and will punish them in his just judgment both in this life, and in the life to come.

Ephesians 5:5-6

For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Every year during December, we give toward the Lottie Moon Christmas offering. This year, we have set a goal of $15,000 which will go directly toward missionaries as they take the gospel to the nations.

Please pray for this offering and consider participating in seeing the promise God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob concerning their descendant being as numerous as the stars of heaven, the sand of the seashores, and the dust of the earth fulfilled!

In Revelation 7:9, God says that such a great multitude of people will be saved that no one will be able to number them. God is actively fulfilling his promise to save a people from every tribe, tongue, and nation and he delights to use your prayers and your sacrificial giving to bring about his promises.
